Nonprofit Mission and Vision Statements
We care for and about each other by supporting caregivers and those they are caring for. We are volunteer-based and promote and enhance the quality of life for all.
Please provide a paragraph or so about what your organization does in the community. Include any recent achievements, projects, and goals.
Our Harmony Club is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing social day programs for elderly members of our community who may have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s disease, suffered a stroke, or become socially isolated. Our Harmony Club offers six hours of affordable respite care for caregivers while their loved ones spend a day with our volunteers playing games, doing crafts, singing and so much more!
We have five clubs in the Racine area, one in Oak Creek, and one in Lyons that are scheduled during different days of the week. We were founded on April 13, 2015 as a continuation of a program that was run by Lincoln Lutheran before it permanently shut its doors.
What would you like the general public to know about your organization and ways they can help/support you?
We are always looking for individuals to join our organization and volunteer at our clubs that occur on different days of the week. Since we are a volunteer-based company, we are always looking for new people to join our organization to give back to the community. We are also looking for new people that are in need of this type of respite service to help take care of their loved ones during the day so they can have time to themselves. And we are always accepting donations of office supplies, craft supplies, food donations, or monetary donations.
Love what we do?
In addition to our education features, we’ll be kicking off a series of stories highlighting how parents, students, and educators are adapting to the impact of COVID-19 on education. If this is important to you, please consider donating to our education reporting fund. https://business.facebook.com/donate/1846323118855149/3262802717172659/
