One car was totaled and another was damaged Sunday during an overnight vehicle fire just west of Northwestern Avenue in the City of Racine.
Racine fire fighters responded at 2:01 a.m. Sunday to a home in the 1300 block of Orange Avenue for a report of car on fire. When crews arrived, they discovered that two cars in the driveway were on fire, and the flames had spread to the side of the home where the cars were parked.
The flames were extinguished, and no one was hurt.
It was determined that a fire started in the engine compartment of One car was a total loss, the other suffered about $2,500 in damage, and the home incurred about $3,750 in property damage.
