We’re excited to announce a new feature on the Racine County Eye called pet of the week.

The Wisconsin Humane Society Racine campus will be sending us photos of fur babies that need adopted into a loving home. This week we’re featuring Tasha, a one-year-old ferret. Found as a stray, no one claimed her during her stray hold.

“Like most ferrets, Tasha is curious, smart and very social,” according to Angela Speed with the Wisconsin Humane Society. “She is very confident and loves to explore and meet new people – when she’s not napping! Ferrets sleep nearly 18 hours a day but make up for it with their crazy cute antics the other six.”

Interested in meeting Tasha? Stop by WHS or check her profile out online: http://wihumane.org/adopt/animal?id=29683214. The adoption fee for Tasha is $50.

The Racine County Eye is also offering sponsorship and advertising opportunities for this pet-centered feature. If you are interested, please call Denise Lockwood at (262)504-9570.

Love what we do?

In addition to our education features, we’ll be kicking off a series of stories highlighting how parents, students, and educators are adapting to the impact of COVID-19 on education.
