Open House Racine County, held Saturday (May 6) was a busy day of countywide exploration.
This year’s event featured 65 locations (up from 43 last year) – all free and open to the public. Although attendance figures are still being compiled, popular sites included the Johnson Foundation at Wingspread, Christmas House Bed & Breakfast and the Wind Point Lighthouse grounds.
New sites for 2017 included Oak Clearing Farm near Union Grove, Hoyer Homestead near Waterford and the Spectrum School of the Arts located in the DeKoven Center in Racine.
Here are few photos from the day. Thanks to Christopher Rosin and Scott D. Olsen.
Open House Racine County was presented by Real Racine (Racine County’s destination marketing organization). This year’s sponsors were: House of Harley-Davidson, Magnum Media (parent company of radio stations WRJN and 92.1 The Shore), Wisconsin Department of Tourism and Wisconsin Public Radio.
