Mount Pleasant police are searching for two men they believe broke into at least three homes and one vehicle Friday night while residents were asleep.

Investigators believe the men featured in these photos are the suspects who committed the crimes:

Officers say the incidents occured at:

  • 5600 and 5800 blocks of Taylor Avenue
  • 6000 block of Braun Road
  • 4000 block of Royal Oaks

The Taylor Avenue and Royal Oaks addresses were residential burglaries, and the Braun Road location was a theft from a vehicle. The suspects in the photos are believed to have participated in burglaries on Larchmont in September.

One resident who was burglarized posted on a neighborhood Facebook page that the burglars took an Xbox, games, and the contents of a purse that was found in the driveway.

“Christmas gifts were looked through but we’re obviously too boring to provide much fodder for greed, so that’s a plus,” the resident wrote.

Access to that home was gained through a rear entry, and the thieves gained access to the vehicle by smashing in a window.

Mount Pleasant police are reminding residents to lock all doors and windows of their homes, not to leave valuables in their cars and to keep outside lights on to help discourage crime.
