Mount Pleasant police say two men who got in a fight Sunday at the Knight’s Inn were in another altercation Monday and are now facing charges.
Todd Roushia, 45, and Joseph Perrone, 54, were charged Tuesday in Racine County Circuit Court with one misdemeanor count each of disorderly conduct as repeat offenders. If convicted, they each face up to 90 days in jail and/or up to $1,000 in fines.
According to their criminal complaints, police were called at 9:37 p.m. Monday to Knight’s Inn, 1149 Oakes Road, for a report of a fight. Officers noted they were also called out Sunday night for a report of a fight and when they arrived, they found three men sitting on picnic tables outside. Two of the men had grass and dirt stains on their clothes.
Police say Roushia had a cut on his lip and his right arm was in a cast Roushia said was from the fight Sunday night with Perrone. When officers asked Perrone what was going on he said they were doing some “kung fu (expletive).” Roushia said Perrone often wants to fight for no reason, even more so when they drink.
The hotel manager told officers he did not want either Roushia or Perrone back at the hotel, the complaint reads, because they’d been physically fighting the last few days. Both men were taken into custody without incident and transported to Wheaton Franciscan for a blood draw before being booked into the Racine County Jail.
Both Roushia and Perrone were assigned $200 signature bonds at their preliminary hearings Tuesday. They will both be in court next Sept. 10 for their pre-trial conferences.
