A man, who was shot in the chest, died Monday at Ascension-All Saints Hospital.

Officers with the Racine Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at 10:26 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of 11th Street and Grand Avenue. After being taken to the hospital, the man died Monday morning, according to a press release by the Racine Police Department.

Officials have not released the man’s name.

“Little information was obtained from the victim in regards to how he received the gunshot wound,” the press release reads. “It is also unknown where the actual incident took place.”

Investigators are asking the community to step forward if they have any information about the crime. No one is in custody at this time.
