The Racine Police Department is asking for the public’s help finding out the details of why a man was found unresponsive in the bitter cold early Wednesday morning.
According to a press release issued by RPD Sgt. Jessie Metoyer, officers responded at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday to a call in the 10 block of Ohio for a report of a man down in his yard. The caller told dispatch the man was breathing but was unresponsive and not wearing a coat or shoes.
The man was taken to Wheaton Franciscan St. Mary’s and then transported to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.
Metoyer notes in the release that the man does have an extensive medical history and that police are actively investigating the circumstances of this incident.
