A Racine man was found to have heroin and a stolen revolver inside a car, according to a criminal complaint filed Friday in Racine County Circuit Court.

Anthony L. Cannon, 36, is charged with possession of narcotic drugs, theft and carrying a concealed weapon for the Jan. 5 incident.

The criminal complaint states that officers received information about 2 p.m. Jan. 5 about someone armed with a handgun, where he would be and what kind of car he may be driving. The person who made the report also stated he could have heroin.

Officers went to find the vehicle, and about one hour later, caught up with him. They observed several moving violations, and pulled over the vehicle.

Cannon was driving, and he had a passenger in the car. The officers smelled marijuana in the car, and saw what appeared to be flecks of marijuana on the floor.

When officers searched the vehicle they found a brown handbag under the passenger seat containing a loaded revolver. The revolver had been reported stolen.

Police also found a clear plastic baggie containing three knotted baggie corners with heroin inside them.

The passenger told police that he knew nothing about the items in the handbag, but did admit to possessing a pill police had found on him.
