A Caledonia woman appeared in court this week on charges that in February she was involved in drug trafficking.

Charges were filed against Tashi T. Hill, 27, three months ago. She is charged with maintaining a drug trafficking place and possession of between 1,000 and 2,500 grams of marijuana with intent to deliver, both as party to the crime.

According to the criminal complaint filed against her, Racine police obtained a search warrant for the apartment after a traffic stop involving someone else who lived at the apartment. That person, Cortez Dotson, has a separate drug possession case in Racine County Circuit Court.

When police searched the 3 Mile Road apartment they reported finding a black, padlocked suitcase in a bedroom closet. Inside the suitcase were two vacuum-sealed bags containing 1,182.2 grams of marijuana.
