A 31-year-old Racine man is facing serious drug charges after officers with the Racine County Metro Drug Unit recovered 12 pounds of what they say is high grade marijuana and a variety of weapons.

According to press release from the Racine County Sheriff’s Department confirms that officers with the drug unit executed a search warrant shortly after 3 p.m. Wednesday at a home in the 1200 block of Orchard Street.

During a search of the residence, officers found 12 pounds of high grade marijuana with a street value of $48,000. Police also found an assault rifle, a semi-automatic handgun and ammunition.

The man was booked into the Racine County Jail on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and possession of a firearm by a felon.
