10346682_10152167137979514_855904275_nRacine and Mount Pleasant Police were investigating reports of a large fight taking place, a gun being shot, and a person being hit by a baseball bat just after 10 p.m. Sunday in the 2500 block of Pinehurst Avenue, according to preliminary reports.

Police have Hamlin and Durand shut down and ambulances are on scene. We’ll update this story when we get more information.

A witness said he heard the sound of what he thought was a gunshot and the sound of tires squealing. He also saw a person with a baseball bat and people yelling in the street.

  1. It was actually Racine, not Mt pleasant, on Hamlin Street. Gun was seen, not just thought there was a sound like a gun.
