The male suspect who robbed a Family Dollar store at gunpoint remains at large, and police are asking for the public’s help apprehending him.

On March 7, Racine police responded to Family Dollar, 3701 Durand Avenue, for a report of an armed robbery. Witnesses say a male of undetermined race brandished a grey handgun and demanded money from the cashier. The store employee complied, and the suspect was last seen fleeing on foot in an unknown direction.

Witnesses told officers the suspect was:

  • Male, possibly in his 20s
  • Wearing a grey sweatshirt, gloves, wearing a bandanna covering his face, possibly purple in color. The suspect had his hood up and tightened around his face.
