Racine police are asking for the public’s help finding a man who held a woman at gunpoint Christmas night and stole her purse.

CBS 58 News is reporting that a woman at around 10 p.m. Friday had just parked her car at 12th and Racine Streets when she was approached by a man who displayed a gun and demanded her purse.

There was a brief struggle, but the purse strap broke, and the man fled the area on foot with the woman’s purse, the story continues. The woman was not hurt, and she told officers who responded to the scene that the man was wearing a dark hoodie.
