A Mount Pleasant man is charged with delivering heroin and other drug charges after a man passed out Friday while behind the wheel of a car gave his name to police.
Lucas Michael Friedenreich is charged with delivering heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a drug trafficking place. He is out of custody, with a $750 cash bond. If convicted of the charges Friedenreich faces up to 16 years one month in prison and/or fined up to $35,500.
According to the criminal complaint, the man who had passed out told police Friedenreich supplied the heroin he injected that day, according to the criminal complaint. Police obtained a search warrant and went to Friedenreich’s home.
Inside the home, they reported finding less than three grams of heroin, more than a dozen hypodermic needles, and a compound used to reverse the effects of an overdose, along with instructions on how to use it.
