Community members are invited to join the members and clergy of the Racine Interfaith Coalition in prayer after the violent death of a young man in the Racine community.
Father Yeprem Kelegian will lead the prayer vigil at 6 p.m. Sunday at the 1900 block of Prospect Street in Racine for the young man shot and killed Wednesday night.
Police have identified the victim as Vyshonn Avitia, 18.
For more than two decades, the Racine Interfaith Coalition has held candlelight vigils to pray for the victims and families of violent death in the community.
