The annual Racine gay rights parade steps off Sunday morning at 11:30 a.m. from the Racine County Courthouse, scene of historic first same-sex marriages here last summer.

While past years included chants urging passage of marriage equality laws, this year the march is expected to be a loud and proud celebration of marriage equality.

The Supreme Court of the United States Friday struck down the last remaining barriers to gay marriage as the law of the land.

“From Silence to Celebration” is the theme of this year’s parade, according to a story with WGTD.

The parade will end at Monument Square.
