Citizens For A Caledonia School District, a group focused on forming an independent school district in Caledonia, will hold a pie sale and food donation drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Eastside Community Center, 6156 Douglas Ave.

The group will also be collecting signatures for a petition to ask state legislators to allow Caledonia to hold a vote on the issue.

Holiday-themed pies and treats will be available for sale to raise money for the Northshore Food Pantry, which is operated by Trinity United Methodist Church, 3825 Erie St. Food donations will also be accepted.

“Pastor Jeanne Jones will be facilitating the reception of food donations dropped off at our location and we’re happy to be able to do two great things for our community at the same time,” said Ed Willing, one of the group organizers.

All funds raised from the event will be donated to the food pantry, unless donations are otherwise noted.
