Sturtevant residents are invited to a public hearing Tuesday during the regular board meeting. Trustees will listen to concerns, answer questions and move forward with a resolution to award a contract for work that will be done this summer.
Property owners will then be assessed for the cost per square and have the option of paying the assessment in full or spreading the total out over a number of years on their property taxes.
Last year, trustees postponed the annual village sidewalk program to allow property owners more time to get quotes and complete the work themselves at a lower cost than the village had obtained.
The Village Board meeting and public hearing begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Village Hall, 2801 89th Street. Call (262) 886-7200.
