Congratulations are in order for the Racine Art Museum; it has been named the 2015 Governor’s Tourism Award winner in the Arts, Culture & Heritage category.

The announcement was made Tuesday night at the Wisconsin Governor’s Conference on Tourism awards dinner in La Crosse.

RAM got its start in 1938 in the former home of Charles and Jennie E. Wustum. Over the years, the museum’s collection grew and demanded more space. The new building on Main Street opened in 2003.

Love what we do?

In addition to our education features, we’ll be kicking off a series of stories highlighting how parents, students, and educators are adapting to the impact of COVID-19 on education. If this is important to you, please consider donating to our education reporting fund.
