The Racine County Eye news website is seeking an advertising sales representative to help grow the reach and depth of the site’s connections throughout the community.
A passion for locally owned businesses is required and a healthy dose of news nerdiness wouldn’t hurt.
Basic job duties include professionally and enthusiastically representing the website when interacting with advertisers and potential supporters; accurately relaying information about the website and advertising rates; following a short list of expectations for meetings per week, follow-up appointments, and weekly check-ins with editors/co-owners on leads both given and developed.
Pay for the position depends on success; we are paying commission only – for now – but hope the chosen candidate does such a great job and we grow to the point that the position becomes a salary plus commission. The chosen candidate will be expected to keep track of mileage and any related expenses for their tax records.
