Racine native and Route 20 Outhouse owner Ray Stibeck announced on his Facebook page today that he plans to bring back “an event similar to Racine HarborFest.”

He explained the event will go under a different name, but he is taking suggestions on what to call it. Stibeck submitted an application for the new festival to the Racine Parks Department. The application would still need a final approval from the Common Council.

“We will have some historic things that the festival had back in its existence as well as some new things,” he wrote. “The biggest thing obviously is the live music. Since it is what we do, it will be done right.”

Stibeck helped bring back Kraut Fest in 2015, but stepped away from the project this year.

With his new venture, Stibeck plans to partner with non-profit organizations to get volunteer help in exchange for a donation to their organizations.

“We are working hard on this and we will keep you posted on our progress. I will be getting a website and Facebook page up for it soon!!!! Thank you all and this is going to be great For Racine!!!!” Stibeck said.
