Racine Police are searching for two suspects that they believe are responsible for at least two armed robberies, one at 8 p.m. Saturday at High Street Foods, 704 High St., and the other at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday at Your Store, 2731 Durand Ave.
Police believe the suspects may have also been involved in several other robberies in southeastern Wisconsin.
During the armed robbery at High Street Food Mart, witnesses told police that a man brandished a silver hand gun with a black slide. Pointing the gun at the clerk, the suspect told the clerk to open the register and put money into a black and blue backpack that the suspect brought into the store with him.
The suspect then fled the store. The suspect was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, black mask or scarf, and black gloves
During the robbery at Your Store, witnesses told investigators that a white two-door Honda Civic with a black front bumper and tinted windows pulled up in front of the store and one of the suspects got out and came into the store brandishing a handgun. The person robbed the clerk at gunpoint and fled the scene in the Honda Civic.
The car, which was reported stolen out of Franklin, was later found in the 2600 block of Gillen St., but was unoccupied.
The suspect that came inside the store is described as a male, and of an unknown race. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and a black mask on his face.
