Isn’t half the annoyance of getting a city parking ticket having to either mail in the payment or go to the police department to pay it? Those days are over with the introduction of online payments for parking tickets.
The Racine Police Department announced Friday that parking tickets can now be paid by going to http://cityofracine.org/Police/ParkingTickets/.
Citizens enter the vehicle’s license plate to see a full list of citations associated with that car and can choose which ones to pay or to pay them all in full. There is an extra processing fee of $1.95 for credit card and $1 for debit card transactions.
“In an effort to make payment of parking citations easier the Racine Police Department will go live with its online parking payment system on July 1,” a press release from RAPD Lt. Al Days.
Parking tickets can still be paid the old fashioned way via mail, by dropping payments in the secure box outside the department or by visiting one of RAPD’s counter service experts between 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
