Racine police say the 34-year-old man they found deceased Monday evening in the 1500 block of Grove Avenue has been identified as Thomas Borglin. Because there wasn’t an obvious cause of death, they are treating Borglin’s death as suspicious and launched an investigation.
RAPD Lt. David Wohlgemuth wrote in a press release that officers were called at 6:15 p.m. Monday to a home in the 1500 block of Grove Avenue in the West Racine neighborhood. When police arrived, they found a deceased 34-year-old man without any obvious signs of trauma.
“Due to the unknown circumstances, Major Crimes was activated,” the release reads. “The investigation is on-going.”
Police conducted a canvas Tuesday, and investigators remain interested in speaking with anyone who has information.
If anyone does know anything, they can leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at (262) 636-9330 or by texting RACS with the message to 274637 (CRIMES).
