Racine Police are investigating a death that happened in the 4000 block of Erie St. at 6:48 p.m. Sunday, March 8, according to a press release by the Racine Police Department.

Officials with the Racine Police Department said this is “a fluid, active investigation,” and no other information is being released at this time.

Racine County Scanner is reporting the victim is a female with puncture wounds.

The investigation is near where another homicide happened last week when 27-year-old Andrew Jones was shot to death by his friend Jacob Rogers in the 500 block of Three Mile Road. But police have not said the two incidents are related.

Racine Police are asking the community for any information.
