With the National Weather Service calling for more frigid temperatures, officials with the Racine Unified School District have canceled school and after school activities for Thursday, Jan. 8.

The Administrative Service Center will remain open and an advisory council meeting will still be held Thursday, according to the district.

But there’s more winter weather on its way.

The wind chill temperatures are expected to remain well below zero Thursday morning. Another arctic blast is expected to hit the area Thursday night and last until Saturday morning, which means another wind child advisory is likely on its way.
