WAY TO GO, STUDENTS! Racine Unified students from Starbuck and Mitchell have 3 new trophies from the National Fluid Power competition at MSOE to add to their collection.

RUSD middle schools took 3 of 5 trophies, including First Place, Overall Champion at the National Fluid Power Challenge at MSOE.
Starbuck won Best Engineering Portfolio.
This year both Mitchell teams tied for first place in the Machine Competition portion of the Challenge yesterday at the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
The Mitchell teams beat 20 other middle school teams from the greater Milwaukee area.
Mitchell Team A won the Team Challenge Award of Excellence trophy for scoring the most points with their machine during competition.
Mitchell Team B won the top prize of First Place, Overall Champions trophy for having the best-written engineering portfolio, best design and scoring 21 points during the machine competition.
Mitchell has won four out of the last five years.
Starbuck has won three of the last six years.
RUSD schools continue to dominate the competition in the Milwaukee area. Last year, Mitchell was ranked top in the nation.
These kids worked after school until 6 pm all through November and into December. They are smart, dedicated, hard-working and fun kids.
