Two Racine men were arrested Friday after police raided their apartment, and found a large quantity of heroin and cocaine.

Police conducted a no-knock search warrant on the 1600 block of Phillips Avenue, where they found Leroy Garrett Jr., 39, and Milton T. Smith, 33. Police conducted the warrant as part of an investigation into drug dealing conducted by the two men.

In the apartment, officers with the Racine Police Department found 38 grams of heroin, 14 grams of cocaine, over 30 grams of marijuana and two firearms. Police also found materials for packaging the drugs and about $677 between the two men. The firearms belonged to a woman Garrett Jr. and Smith live with. She holds the lease for the apartment and was not identified as being involved in drug trafficking activities, according to a criminal complaint.

The weapons were licensed to the woman, but because she works for long periods of time leaving the men with access to the weapons. Because Garrett Jr. was found sleeping on top of and next to the weapons, he is charged as a felon in possession of firearms.

Garrett Jr. was also found to have an active arrest warrant in Kenosha for intimidating a witness.

Garrett Jr. is also charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and marijuana, and maintaining a drug trafficking place. Smith is charged with possession of heroin and cocaine with intent to deliver, possession of THC and maintaining a drug trafficking place.
