Racine County sold Ridgewood Care Center, 3205 Wood Rd., to Wood Road Property LLC and the business for $10 million. Evanston, Ill-based Altitude Health Services Inc. owns Wood Road Property LLC. The company started operating the nursing home on Friday, according to a story by the Journal Times. According to the story, no wages were reduced and the company has met with all of the residents. “Ridgewood is a valuable asset in the community. Racine County is still working closely with Altitude and is confident they will excel in providing excellent care for our residents,” said Racine County Executive Jonathan Delagrave,
The county had previously agreed to sell the nursing home to Villa Healthcare, but that agreement was rescinded after the Wisconsin Division of Quality Assurance issued 20 violations against Villa at Lincoln Park, including mistreatment of its residents.
