Rocky Rococo fans, you can relax: the restaurant at 6631 Washington Avenue in Mount Pleasnt is not closing.
The property was sold January 28 as a franchise to a pair of business partners who own and operate another Rocky’s location in Silvermail mall in Pewaukee, the shift manager told Racine County Eye.
“Two people bought the store to double their business from the one they own at Silvernail,” Cayla Trill said. “We’re not going anywhere.”
Trill said the new owners may make minor changes to operating hours, but otherwise, everything will remain the same. She has worked at the restaurant since 2009.
On Facebook, readers were concerned about Rocky’s closing.
“I hope they stay in the area – I love me some Rocky Rococos!” Josh Schimek posted.
Erika Minna Weitkuhn worried, “It’s still going to stay Rocky’s right?”
Trill was quick to reassure everyone that Rocky’s isn’t going anywhere.
“We are staying open,” she said. “(The new owners) have no intention of closing.”
