The Root River Council is hosting a public meeting on the RootWorks project, which is focused on an area-wide plan and the river loop schematic design for the Sam’s River Road area.

A guided walking, and kayak or canoe paddling tour will be led by the Root River Council to explore the RootWorks area and consider community opportunities from 4:30 to 6:15 p.m. at the Root River Environmental Education Community Center, 1301 W 6th St.

The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. June 30 at 21st Century Preparatory School, 1220 Mound Ave., room 102.
