Sandra L. Polkky, age 79, passed away on January 2, 2019 at the Marshfield Clinic. She was born on October 23, 1939 in Racine to the late Peter and Caroline Zamagne.
Sandra graduated from Park High School in 1958. She married Reynold R. Polkky on September 8, 1962, who preceded her in death on November 9, 2011. Sandra worked for Walker Mfg. as an executive secretary before becoming a stay-at-home mom. In her free time, she loved dancing, camping, traveling, and buying and selling antiques. She enjoyed dancing so much that she belonged to a square dance club. Also, she made frequent trips to Arizona during winter for the last twenty-five years. Above all else, she treasured spending time with her family.
Surviving are two sons, Jeff (Judy) Polkky, John (Marnie) Polkky; seven grandchildren: Matthew, Christina, Karis, Arin, Makenzie, Camryn and Conner; sister-in-law, Vi Hilliard; nieces, nephews other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by three sisters (Mary, Rose & Helen) and one brother (Peter).
There will be a memorial service held on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Maresh Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home. Friends and relatives can meet with the family from 12-2 p.m. Memorials to The American Heart Assn. or to The American Cancer Society have been suggested by the family.
