The area includes a stone patio, tables and lounge seating for about 40 people. The restaurant is also features a small plate menu since the area is a self-contained serving area that features a casual atmosphere.
“It’s almost like opening a new restaurant,” Sebastian said.
Business partners Scott and Patrice came up with the idea because they enjoy alfresco dining and they wanted to offer a more casual atmosphere that local customers might enjoy. On Friday nights, Sebastian’s offers a casual Friday menu, which typically draws quite a bit from the local area.
“On a nice summer day it’s just something we like to do and yet we noticed that there is limited patio space in the area,” Scott said. “Plus, summer is our slow season and we wanted to do something to pep things up.”
Down the road, Scott would like to add tented events for weddings, corporate, promotional events and some music. He currently offers space inside the restaurant, but he hopes to expand the patio area to provide additional space.
“We’ll be offering tented events this summer and taking reservations for next year,” Scott said. “Because of the newness we’ll consider events this summer on an individual basis. But worth inquiring about.”
