Roger Brooks, one of the country’s leading travel industry authorities, will appear in Racine on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at the SC Johnson Golden Rondelle Theater, 1525 Howe St.
Brooks will present “Authentic Destinations,” a look at how to make downtowns into outstanding destinations for local residents and visitors alike. Brooks surveyed more than 400 successful downtown districts throughout the U.S. and Canada. What he found were 20 common ingredients that led to their success.
A former board member of the U.S. Travel Association, Brooks is the author of “Your Town: An Amazing Destination – The 25 Immutable Rules of Successful Tourism.” His appearance is presented by Real Racine, Racine County’s destination marketing organization, in association with SC Johnson.
