A line of strong thunderstorms brought needed rain Friday to Racine County.

According to Chief Meteorologist Mark Baden on WISN 12 News, the thunderstorms are being supported in part by the breeze blowing off the lake.

Storms reached Caledonia by 7 p.m. as the lake breeze pushed the system south along the lake front.

By 8 p.m. rain reached the City of Racine with blowing wind, thunder and lightening. Skies were expected to clear by 10 p.m., radar images show on the station’s website.

We will update this story as more details become available.
