Residents are invited to attend a sex offender notification meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the 16th Street COP House.

Timothy D. Smith, 33, will be released sometime before May 27 and will live in a home at 1400 block Washington Avenue. He was convicted in 1996 of aggravated sexual assault in Texas, and was convicted in 2001 in Wisconsin of second degree sexual assault of a child and third degree sexual assault.

The meeting is hosted by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections andthe Racine Police Department to provide information about Smith’s release: this is supervised release; he will be required to wear a GPS bracelet; and he is required to register with the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry.

There will not be child care available at this meeting, and, given the nature of the discussion, officers encourage parents to leave their children at home.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Richard V. Polzin COP House 1900 16th Street.
