The 17-year-old boy shot Wednesday at the Racine Transit Center is in stable condition, and two teenage boys are in custody facing very adult felony charges.

Racine police confirmed 17-year-old and 15-year-old boys were booked into the Racine County Jail on 1st degree attempted intentional homicide, possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of marijuana.

Their names are not being released at this time.

Because the victim in this case is also just 17, his name is also being withheld.

Police were called at noon Wednesday to the transit center on State Street for a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they discovered the male victim.

Area streets were blocked off as police searched for the suspects.
