People interested in participating will be able to register starting Wednesday, June 10. Slide the City will open at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8.
The event will allow guests to slip-and-slide 1,000 feet along Hoffert Drive from English Street to about 100 yards north of the Beachside Oasis.
Hours and pricing information have not been released yet, but organizers say that they will soon have the information posted on the event website. Riders will be able to buy a three-ride pass or an all-day pass. Riders must be at least 46 inches tall and at least five-years old to participate.
T.R. Gourley created Slide the City in 2014 to get people to enjoy the outdoors and connect with their community more.
