On Monday, Mayor Cory Mason and the Office of the City Clerk announced the details for the expansion of early voting hours, which will include new evening and weekend hours, at the Racine Public Library, select Community Centers, and City Hall, for the April 2nd election for City of Racine residents.

“Ensuring that all of our citizens have the opportunity to take part in a critical tenant of our democracy, the act of voting, is a basic function of government that I take very seriously. I am proud of the work the City Clerk has done to find new ways for us to provide expanded access to the ballot box,” said Mayor Mason.

“The Public Library is an important asset to our City and I am proud to add it as a polling location for City residents,” continued Mason. “It is a place for people to come read and learn, to apply for a job, and to experience new technology. It doesn’t matter what your background is, your age, or social status – everyone if welcome at the Library. It’s like voting, it doesn’t matter what your race, gender, or socio-economic status is, if you are able to vote, we should provide more opportunities for you to vote. The Library is a perfect fit.”
