While travel going both north and south on I-94 remains an adventure while crews widen lanes and improve interchanges, there is a spot of good news to share.

After months of traffic detours, the Spring Street overpass is scheduled to reopen sometime this week.

A notice from the state Department of Transportation didn’t give a specific date, just that the bridge will reopen one day this week.

“The County C Bridge is also scheduled to re-open late in the week of December 15 (weather dependent),” the bulletin reads.

In other Highway 20 interchange news, entrance and exit ramps in both directions will close at various times this week as well as the traffic pattern on I-94 moves from the southbound (east) lanes to the northbound (west) lanes.
