A Racine woman was arrested Sunday for retail theft and marijuana possession.

Kimberly Davis, 34, attempted to run a scam at the Menards at 3101 S. Oakes Rd. stealing items and having another unidentified individual attempt to return them minutes later, according to a police report, according to a criminal complaint by the Racine County District Attorney’s Office.

Davis stole more than $150 in copper fittings and attempted to have an unidentified male return them. He was denied the transaction, and at this time Davis returned to the store and joined him, this time with stolen food and drink items.

When Davis was arrested, she was found to be in possession of less than a gram of marijuana.

She is charged with two counts of misdemeanor retail theft and possession of marijuana.

Davis is being held on a $200 cash bond. A pre-trial conference has been set for 3:15 p.m. Aug. 17.
