Mount Pleasant Police are searching for a man suspected of robbing an employee at SF Petroleum, 2325 Racine St. at 9 a.m. Sunday at gunpoint.

After displaying a handgun and demanding cash, the man fled the store with an undisclosed amount of  money. The clerk told police the man fled the store on foot going eastbound. A few minutes later, officers arrived along with a K-9. They were not able to find the man, according to a press release by the Mount Pleasant Police Department.

No one was injured during the incident. The man was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt.

No one has been arrested, but the case is still being investigated.
