Mount Pleasant police say they have in custody the man who broke into at least three garages over the weekend.
The 20-year-old village resident in the 1100 block of Lawndale was found sleeping behind the wheel of a truck filled with stolen items after one of his victims spotted him, and reported the man’s location to police.
Officers determined that as many as three garages had been burglarized and found some of the missing items in the back of the man’s truck.
He was taken into custody and booked into the Racine County Jail on three pending charges of burglary; two counts of possession/receiving stolen property; possession of burglarious tools.
