Starbucks, 2805 S. Green Bay Rd, is closed after a woman crashed her SUV into the building at about 1 p.m. on Tuesday.

A witness told Racine County Eye that a woman driving an SUV said her foot slipped off the brake pedal, propelling her through a window and into the coffee shop. where she struck a female customer.

Rescue crews from the Racine Fire Department also responded.

That woman was overheard telling police that she didn’t need to go to the hospital. She was treated for facial injuries at the scene by rescue personnel.

A Racine County Eye reader, who left the store shortly before the accident, said that Starbucks is closed for the rest of the day.
