The Racine SWAT and Crisis Negotiation team responded Thursday night to a report of a woman being held against her will that turned out to be false.
Officers at 7:59 p.m. Thursday responded to a home in the 1400 block of Buchanen after citizens called dispatch saying their daughter was being held there against her will.
When SWAT and Crisis Negotiation arrived they attempted to make contact with the individuals inside the home. According to a press release from Racine police Sgt. Adam Malacara, officers could hear people in the home, but no one would answer the door.
One man did exit the home without further incident, but another man had to be removed. He was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant.
No one else was in the house.
This incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information can leave an anonymous tip by calling Crime Stoppers at (262) 636-9330, or by texting RACS with the tip to 274637 (CRIMES).
