The Root River Festival has started on a beautiful Sunday afternoon at the Riverbend Nature Center. A number of groups — the Root River Council, WATERshed Program, Case High School Theater Group, Greening Greater Racine and SOLARacine — are here along with a number of entertainment acts. The event runs until 6 p.m. tonight.
