Racine Police arrested a teenager for carrying a loaded gun Monday after they stopped him because he was wanted for questioning and another teen for having drugs.

Alonte Person, 16, and Timothy Rodgers, 18, were walking westbound on Carlisle Street near High Street when police saw them. Officers reported that they recognized Person as someone wanted for questioning, according to a criminal complaint.

When police approached the pair they looked like they were going to run. Police detained them because of this. They reported they had probable cause to detain Person based on the a criminal information bulletin.

When police searched the pair, they found 1.1 grams of marijuana in Person’s pants pocket. They found a silver revolver with six rounds in Rodger’ pocket.

Person is charged with possession of marijuana and Rodgers is charged with carrying a concealed weapon. Person was charged by the Racine County District Attorney’s Office as an adult.
