The Racine Zoo is looking ahead to the warm, sunny days of summer, and they want Racine-area families to do the same by registering now for summer day camp. Programs are designed for children from three years to entering sixth grade and run weekly from June 16 to August 11. Prices range from $70 half-day programs for three-, four- or five-year-olds to $130 per week for older children. Camp staff are also available for before and after camp care for an additional fee per child. From the press release issued by the Zoo, “Better than ever, Racine Zoo Summer Camp sessions offer campers exclusive, hands-on opportunities to learn about animals and their environments from Zoo conservation and education experts. Each camp also includes live animal encounters, games, crafts and many other age-appropriate activities.” There is a $20 non-refundable registration fee for each camper. Zoo members receive $10 off each camp session. Parents can register online at racinezoo.org, by mail or by email by clicking here.
