Drivers be aware: 16 miles of I-94 are about to go under the construction equivalent of the knife.
Work starts Monday night at Highway KR and extends north through Racine County to Highway G and will include patching and resurfacing, according to FOX 6 News.
Once work is finished in Racine County, crews will get started patching and resurfacing into Milwaukee County from Highway G north to Rawson Avenue.
Travel in both directions will be reduced by one lane in each direction for the duration of the project, expected to last until late this summer.
Overnight lane closures are included in the scope of the work.
